Isaiah 12:4-6

January 2008

“Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.  Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.  Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

January is coming to a close.  I’m sitting here at the computer watching the rain come down and thanking the Lord for all His provisions in my life.  Do you ever take the time to stop moaning about what you don’t have and start listing all the wonderful things you do have?  We need to spend more time thanking God than complaining.  Do you thank Him for the rain, or gripe because it’s messing up your day?  I know I was a little guilty this morning.  I just  got a haircut and didn’t want my “new do” all messed up by the rain!  LOL

I’m just asking that the next time you gather your list of “don’t have’s”, before you give them to the Lord why don’t you make a list of all the things you do have?  Praise Him for it.  I’m quite sure that lists far exceeds your “don’t have’s”.
